A ghostly figure in the traditional Venetian black hat and cape, called the 'Tabarro' in Italian, approaches the Ponte Canal [canal bridge] in Venezia (Venice, Italy). The figures walking in the fog in the background have not yet seen the transparent figure; they remain totally unaware.
     The history of the City of Canals is vast. In the fog, one might imagine ages past and the many intrigues of the evening. How the fog hides secrets! This is a charcoal drawing, with pastels added in places, of some Italian architecture in a city surprisingly empty. Street lights offer circle of lights piercing the fog.
     This original drawing is shipping flat, and unframed. Prints are also available in a variety of sizes. This is not your ordinary Venetian scene and will add intrigue and romance to your home.
